He was born in Athens. He studied painting and engraving at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris and taught lithography at the same school (1976-1988). He has lived in Greece since 1988.

In his works, scenes from everyday life are captured with an intense erotic and sensual character. The dominant element is the plasticity of the forms. His art is anthropocentric, with the female figure dominating. His work combines elements from Byzantine and folk art as well as from European art.

In his painting he uses oil paints, tempera, pastel, acrylics, silver leaves, while in engraving he works lithographs and copperplates. It usually uses repetitive symbolic patterns. The diffuse erotic atmosphere and the poetic mystery give the space a stage essence and make it distant and almost unreal. Other features of his art are the color richness, the intensity of the shades and the clear contours.
