Christos Petridis was born in Limassol in 1958. From 1977 to 1982 he studied Business Administration at the Piraeus School of Industry. After completing his studies he moved to Greece, where he lived and worked until the end of his life on 27 July 2013.

The work that he left behind is multidimensional and with a particular personal technique in the field of surrealism with strong influences of graffiti technique, using elements of sculpture in wall constructions. Using acrylics, oil and spray paint, he created a personal, extroverted artistic idiom, a moving surrealistic universe, where objects, trees and beautiful creatures open, through a joyful palette of vivid colours, a window to the safety of dreams and the timelessness of children’s imagination. Paintings with bright colours exuded a carefree innocence and the artist’s predisposition to depict the joy of life.

• Lithography is a printing technique which was invented around 1798 by A. Alois Senefelder, based on the fact that water and fats are never mixed.
• Frame dimensions: 43 x 52 cm. When water runs on the surfaces that are designed, the greasy ink only “catches” on the areas that are engraved and not on the wet stone.
