Achilles Drougas was born in 1940 in Piraeus. He studied Engraving and Scenography at the Athens School of Fine Arts (1958-1965). In 1970 he continued his studies at the Slade school of Friée Art in London.
As an engraver he took part in the most important international exhibitions from 1967-1976. His engravings are in public and private collections in Europe and the USA.
He has twice received a scholarship from the Ford Foundation.
In 1974 he started to deal exclusively with painting and in 1978 he had his first solo exhibition in Athens. Since then he has exhibited paintings in various galleries in Europe and America.
In 1982 he painted a 45-meter mural for the Atheneum Intercontinental Hotel in Athens.
His works are in Greece at the National Gallery of Athens, the Vorre Museum and the Pieridis Gallery. As well as in public and private collections around the world.

• Screen printing is the exact reproduction of limited copies of an original work.
• For reproduction, a silk grid is used stretched on a crate, hence the term Silkscreen, and as many crates as the colors of the work are used.
• The papers used for reproduction are cotton handmade 280-300gr type Fabriano.
• After the reproduction, the crates are destroyed by the painter to ensure the collectibility of the work.
• The Silkscreens are signed and numbered in pencil by the painter (numbering on the left and signature on the right) and are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
