Constantin Xenakis(28 December 1931 – 5 June 2020) was a poet, sculptor and visual artist who was born in Cairo and later settled permanently in Paris, while since the 1990s he divided his time between Paris and Athens. He is considered an important representative of postmodern art and his works are known for their semiotics and the combination of codes, letters of various alphabets, and various objects, according to the artist’s personal style.

In painting he received fruitful influences from the ancient Greek aesthetics and from modern currents. These allowed him to form a personal style. Landscapes natural or imaginary, depictions of animals and birds but mainly connections where naked human figures predominate. With the obvious projection of sensuality that results from the lazy posture of the female body, as well as allegorical compositions, constitute its subject matter.

• Screen printing is the exact reproduction of limited copies of an original work.
• For reproduction, a silk grid is used stretched on a crate, hence the term Silkscreen, and as many crates as the colors of the work are used.
• The papers used for reproduction are cotton handmade 280-300gr type Fabriano.
• After the reproduction, the crates are destroyed by the painter to ensure the collectibility of the work.
• The Silkscreens are signed and numbered in pencil by the painter (numbering on the left and signature on the right) and are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
