Alexis Veroukas (1968) is a Greek painter.

Born in Athens, he attended the Ceruleum graphic arts workshop in Lausanne in 1985. Then Art History at the Institut d’Art et Archéologie, Sorbonne (1986-1988). He studied painting and lithography at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux Arts (ENSBA) 1988-1993 in Paris.

In 1994 he held his first solo exhibition in Paris. With some of his early works, studies from model and compositions with industrial spaces. Presents entitled “The journey“, his first solo exhibition in Greece. With works from panoramic views of European big cities. His next works on the subject of ancient theaters will be presented in the exhibition entitled “Hollow and Degrees” (2001) at the Vourkariani Gallery in Tzia.
Then his quests become more internal and he uses the human form in his work. He will show this section of works entitled “Vincti Sumus” (2011) at the Hellenic Cultural Foundation in Berlin. In 2012, a retrospective exhibition was held at the Art Gallery of the Cyclades (Ermoupolis, Syros).
His works are in the National Gallery, the Goulandris B&E Foundation and the Frysira Museum. In the Antoni and Azias Chatziioannou Collection, in the Thanassis Michailidis Collection, as well as in other private collections in Greece and abroad.
  • Screen printing is the exact reproduction of limited copies of an original work.
  • For reproduction, a silk grid is used stretched on a crate, hence the term Silkscreen, and as many crates as the colors of the work are used.
  • The papers used for reproduction are cotton handmade 280-300gr type Fabriano.
  • After the reproduction, the crates are destroyed by the painter to ensure the collectibility of the work.
  • The Silkscreens are signed and numbered in pencil by the painter (numbering on the left and signature on the right) and are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
