Pavlos Samios was born in Athens in 1948. From an early age he was involved in painting and drawing, helping his father in the shoe workshop.

He loved the religious painting that won him over from a very early age and he worked in the Hagiography workshop of Dionysis Karousos until he was eighteen years old. At the same time he attended design classes at the Laboratory of Panos Sarafianos and passed to ASKT.

His teachers were Nikos Nikolaou at the Preliminary and Giannis Moralis at the Painting Workshop. Nikos Nikolaou had as a principle the design and tradition of Ancient Greek Art. Giannis Moralis introduced his students to contemporary art. Great teachers to whom he owes a lot, as well as to Giannis Tsarouchis. She had the opportunity to meet him in Paris and to learn so much about the Greek tradition, through the eyes of a unique painter who in his first works influenced him a lot. At the same time he was in the only company of the “Enchanted Flute”, where Manos Hadjidakis, a magician of speech and knowledge of the needs of young people, taught them to think without limits.

From 1978 to 1992 he lived and worked in Paris. Since 2000 he has been a professor at the Athens School of Fine Arts (Laboratory of traditional painting fresco-Byzantine icons-manuscripts). He has painted many small churches with his fresco technique.
He has held 70 solo exhibitions and has taken part in important group exhibitions in Greece and abroad.
  • Screen printing is the exact reproduction of limited copies of an original work.
  • For reproduction, a silk grid is used stretched on a crate, hence the term Silkscreen, and as many crates as the colors of the work are used.
  • The papers used for reproduction are cotton handmade 280-300gr type Fabriano.
  • After the reproduction, the crates are destroyed by the painter to ensure the collectibility of the work.
  • The Silkscreens are signed and numbered in pencil by the painter (numbering on the left and signature on the right) and are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

At Peritexnis we offer you an exquisite variety of collectible silkscreens of great Greek painters. Among them Alekos Fassianos, Dimitris Mytaras, Sofia Kalogeropoulou, Vassilis Sperantzas, Angelos Panagiotou and others.
