Aristidis Patsoglouwas born in Lesvos in 1941. He attends the first painting and drawing lessons with teacher Thanasis Apartis. From 1965 to 1969 he studied sculpture with teacher G. Pappas at the Athens School of Fine Arts. In 1970 he moved to Paris, where he continued his studies in sculpture and engraving.

While living permanently in Paris, together with 50 international artists, he founded the group “Logos”. In recent years he has been living permanently in Greece. He is a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece and has an intense artistic activity. This fact is reflected in the number of his solo exhibitions. As they exceed 40 and have taken place in Greece and abroad, mainly in France.

His work is purely anthropocentric, with themes from either Greek mythology or modern life. Always starring the man, the girl, the boy. His sculpture is a combination of elements from the tradition of ancient Greek art and modern artistic trends. He did not join any artistic movement. Nor did he ever follow any form, relying on the ingenuity of his imagination.

• Engraving is an art form in which the creator carves a design on a surface. This surface is then covered with ink and pressed onto paper. In this way, the same design can be printed several times but each time in a different colour.
• Today, the term engraving usually refers to the engraving of designs and symbols on a surface. This surface will then serve as a plate for making paper copies. The work (copy on paper or other medium) created in this way is called engraving.
