Meropi Stefanatou – Preka was born in Athens. He studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts with teachers I. Moralis, Andreas Georgiadis, P. Prevelakis, Pavlos Mylonas, Andreas Apostolakis and others.
In 1958 he received a diploma in painting and theoretical studies. In 1963 he received a scholarship to the Ecole Superieure Nationale des Mιtiers d΄ Arts, Paris-France. There he studied the art of stained glass, with professors G. Frezil and J. Giroux. From 1961 to 1967 he worked at EOMEX. From 1968 to 1985 he taught painting at the School of Decorative Arts E. Vakalo.

He has held 20 solo exhibitions and has participated in group exhibitions in Greece and abroad. In 1973 he represented Greece at the XII Biennale Sao Paolo, Brazil, with stained glass and sculpture with glass and iron. From 1961 to 1966, he represented Greece at the Mostra Internationale di Firenze International Exhibition.

Her works are in museums, public spaces and private collections. He is a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece and a founding member of the Nikos Perantinos Museum.
  • Screen printing is the exact reproduction of limited copies of an original work.
  • For reproduction, a silk grid is used stretched on a crate, hence the term Silkscreen, and as many crates as the colors of the work are used.
  • The papers used for reproduction are cotton handmade 280-300gr type Fabriano.
  • After the reproduction, the crates are destroyed by the painter to ensure the collectibility of the work.
  • The Silkscreens are signed and numbered in pencil by the painter (numbering on the left and signature on the right) and are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
