Gilda Frumkin Vassiliadis started painting at a very young age. Demonstrates special appeal, sensitivity and skill in the use of colors and shapes through various materials. Gilda’s special feature is her keen observation and her constant desire to paint naturally. Her first works already stand out for their elaborate design and their synthetic virtues.

Gida Frumkin focuses on the realistic rendering of the themes she chooses. These come from observations of the marine world and its riparian areas. As well as from outdoor landscapes of urban or semi-urban areas, in which nature appears to accompany human activities. All this through a daily life full of nostalgia, life desires and lyricism.

She usually paints her subjects with “frame within frame”. It utilizes at the same time the natural and artificial shadow, as a dialectical confrontation and an interconnected grid of color tones. The painter depicts figures giving to the texture of her works energy, clarity, tangibility and a dazzling contemplative to dreamy atmosphere. It focuses on the details, which it magnifies or isolates, investing them with notes of elegance that convey to the viewer the mood of concentration and contemplation at the same time.

She is a complete painter, distinguished for her passion, exploration mood and a poetic look of her own, which allows her to deconstruct her realistic -otherwise- themes from the specific, as the way they are negotiated spiritualizes the visual simulation. their objectivity.
