Artist’s CV

He was born in 1948, in Tinos in the Cyclades. He studied at the School of Fine Arts of Pyrgos Tinos, the Athens School of Fine Arts and the École deux Beaux-Arts in Paris.

Since 1992 he has been working as a professor of printmaking at the Académie de Chaville in Paris. He has had many solo and group exhibitions in Greece, France, Spain, England, Italy, Germany, India, South Korea and Canada. In 1982 he was awarded the 1st Prize for Engraving by the Founder of the Uzès Museum, France – in 1985 the 1st Prize for Engraving by the Académie de Chaville Paris and the Demoulin Prize, Société des Artistes Français, Paris – in 1989 with the 1st Design Prize, Académie de Chaville, Paris – in 1990 with the Saint Cloud Engraving Prize, Paris and in 1995 with the 1st Engraving Prize, Voisins-le-Bretonneux, Paris.

In 2000 he designed and implemented the Prix Mireille. In 1991 he created the “Artemis 656” publications, with the publication of the following art books: “Asceticism” (14 engravings), “Reference to Greco” and “Odyssey” Volumes I and II (24 engravings) by Nikos Kazantzakis. In 2002 he created the “Collection 7” publications. He is a collaborator of the French publications “Voix d’ Encre”, where he illustrates poetry collections.
