Artist’s CV

Preka Meropi was born in Athens, studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts with teachers I. Moralis, Andreas Georgiadis and with a scholarship in Paris – France, at the Ecole Superieure National des metiers d’Arts, vitrail 1963. She worked at EOMEX until 1967 and then taught painting at the School of Decorative Arts E. Vakalos 1968-1985. He has held 45 lectures on art mainly in collaboration with the French Institute.

He has received distinctions and awards for painting and stained glass. Her works can be found in museums, private and public places such as EBE of Athens (1st prize of the Panhellenic Competition for stained glass), the Agricultural Bank, the Baptistery of Agia Lydia Philippi, and in the museums: Vorre Contemporary Art – Peania, Pieridi Gallery – Cyprus, Ioannina Gallery, Kalamata Gallery etc. She is a member of EETE and the International Women’s Educational Federation.
