TRIANTAFYLLOS PATRASKIDIS (1946)
Triantafyllos Patraskidis was born in Drama. He studied at the A.S.K.T. painting (1964-1969) with Nikos Nikolaou and Yiannis Moralis and mosaic (1967-1969) with Elli Voila. He continued his studies in Paris at the École des Beaux Arts (1972-1979) in painting with Gustave Singier, mosaic with Riccardo Licata and lithography with Hubert Haddad. He presented his first solo exhibition in 1981 in Athens, but has been participating in group exhibitions since 1969. Other solo and group exhibitions followed in Greece and abroad. Curator at the Preliminary Workshop of the A.S.K.T. since 1982, he was elected professor in 1984. He has also been involved in sculpture, mosaics, and sound expression. In 1989 he created the Greek series of letters “Hellas – Country of the Olympic Games”. His work is purely expressionistic and is dominated almost exclusively by the human figure. He is the husband of the painter Magda Leventakou. He lives and works in Athens.
