Artist’s CV

Fofi Mouradidou was born in 1946 in Piraeus. He was of Pontic descent from a family of ethnic martyrs. She is a self-taught painter who relied on her undoubted talent as well as her will to create. She then decided to study painting against all the obstacles that existed for a woman from the Art Academies. She was the muse of the collector and gallerist Alexandros Iolas who helped her a lot in her international contacts. Her original talent has been recognized both in Greece and abroad.

Thematically, her painting is anthropocentric and mainly revolves around the human form. She has presented her paintings in individual exhibitions while participating with her works in many group exhibitions.

The painter passed away in March 2021.
