Koutrikas Giannis
Giannis Koutrikas was born in Kalamata, Greece, and studied in America at the Art Institute of Chicago. From 1982 to 1987 he studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts with Dimitris Mytaras and received a scholarship from the State Scholarship Foundation (I.K.Y.) for the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts in France. Until 1989, he studied with Giannis Tsarouchis.
Since 1982, Yannis Koutrikas has presented his work in numerous solo exhibitions, as well as in many group exhibitions. His works can be found in galleries in Greece and abroad as well as in the museum of Vouros Evtaxis in Athens.
His works can be found in numerous private collections around the world. For the last ten-eight years Yannis Koutrikas has been working almost exclusively with Fine Arts Kapopoulos Gallery. This is, as he states, a stable and constructive collaboration that promotes his art, both in Greece and abroad.
