Artist’s Curriculum Vitae

Kostas Paniaraswas born in 1934 in Kiato, Corinthia. After his first painting lessons with Theodoros Lekos (Henry), he studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts with Yannis Moralis, while at the same time attending classes with Eleni Zogolopoulou.

In 1956 he presented his first solo exhibition in Athens (Pane Gallery) and left for Paris, where he studied in the workshops of André Lhote (painting), Gino Severini (mosaic and fresco) and the Ecole des Beaux Arts (lithography). He stayed in Paris until 1976, with stops in the United States, Persia and the Far East.

He has presented his works – paintings, sculptures, constructions and installations in many solo and group exhibitions in Greece and abroad. From 1961 to 1983 he worked with the Alexander Iolas Gallery in New York. Retrospective presentations of his work have been organized at the Pierides Gallery in 1984 and at the Benaki Museum in 2007, under the title “Landscapes and Utopia”. He died in Athens in 2014.
