Artist’s CV
Andreas Devetzis was born in Athens in 1954. He studied at the School of Fine Arts in the Department of Painting with professor Yannis Moralis and Set Design with professor Vassilis Vassiliadis. He graduated in 1978 and with a scholarship from the School of Fine Arts went to Paris, where he studied painting at the Ecole Superieure Nationale des Beaux Arts and Art History at the University of Paris X.
He lives and works in Athens as a painter, set designer, drawing and painting teacher. He has also worked as an interior decorator and has curated business showrooms. He has designed covers of poetry collections and illustrated various publications. He has also been engaged in engraving. His works are in private collections in Greece as well as abroad (France, USA, Germany, Holland, Australia) and in museums.
Alongside painting, he has worked since 1984 as a stage designer in television productions on Greek Television.
