Artist’s CV

Andreas Haralampidis was born in Paphos in 1939. He studied painting in the studio of Costas Eliades in Athens and at the University of Reading in England. In the 1960s, after a brief period of figurative painting with rough features, he was won over for a while by abstract painting. In his maturity, he draws his themes mainly from archaic, Byzantine and folk models, focusing mainly on women, which he renders in a personal way, in warm color tones and with a poetic dreamy mood.
