Artist’s CV

Antonis Andreadis was born in Thassos in 1948 and lived until 2007.
From a young age he began to paint with particular skill. He studied classical literature in Ioannina. There he painted many paintings of the beauties of Epirus and sketched for the local newspaper “Paratiritis”, until 1974 when he finished his studies.
In March 1974 he presented 40 of his oil paintings in a solo exhibition organized by the Society of Epirus Studies.

From July 1974 to January 1977, he served his military service in the Air Force. During this time he was fortunate enough to meet a great Greek impressionist in Athens, Spyros Daglaridis, under whom he apprenticed.
The work of Antonis Andreadis was commented very favorably in its various appearances.

…Today this exuberant and talented painter surprises with his upward trajectory and this is evident in his paintings. His painting is a harmonious play, given incomparably with the movement, the design and the plasticity of the volumes. The color and the design are transformed into a lyrical walk, which is inextricably linked with Nature, the personality and the sensitivity of the painter. His works, given with impressionistic representation, give the measure of the aesthetics of a perfect artistic result, combining his fiery passion with painting, the sensitivity and the artistic experience that possessed him.
