Artist’s CV
Dimitris Andreadakis was born in 1964 in Chania, Crete. He studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts with teachers Triantafyllos Patraskidis and Dimitris Mytaras. From 1991 to 1996 he continued his postgraduate studies at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris with professors Pierre Carron and Vladimir Velickovic. During his undergraduate (1986-1991) and postgraduate studies (1992-1996) he was a scholarship recipient of the State Scholarship Foundation (IKY), the French Government, the Alexandros S. Onassis Charitable Foundation and the A. G. Leventis. His works are in museums, galleries, public and private collections in Greece and abroad. Examples include: National Gallery, Benaki Museum, Hellenic Parliament, Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art, Chania Municipal Gallery, Frisira Museum, Kouvoutsaki Gallery, P. Gerolymatos Collection, G. & M. Diamantidis Collection, D. Matzorou Collection, S. Bergele Collection , A. Hatziioannou, Th. Michaelidis, Alexandros S. Onassis Charitable Foundation (New York) Ms. In 2008, he was elected assistant professor for the course of Visual Arts, in the Department of Architectural Engineering of the Technical University of Crete, located in Chania.
